Todays efforts.

Had 30 OM's in tow on 535 today and had to pull over at Rangitawa to let a trunk train rattle past...

Then stopped for a nosey along the Castlecliff Branch to see how they are getting on..

I'm looking forward to seeing the shunt out here soon! :-)

Exciting times for W(h)anganui! With all the emerging traffic, it sounds like rail in the area has a real future.

Does this mean Wanganui is going to get a shunting loco and a crew back in the city?

I think they intend to use the DC on the shunt, and the crews that currently run the Wanganui shunt.
